Diaz de Cossio will be performing "Femicide," a new piece by composer Anne LeBaron, with slides by CalArts student Zoe Josephina Moon. This performance, in workshop format, will be discussed within the context of Concert Theater, engaging students who will have the opportunity to ask questions and to give their critiques. Prior to the performance, Cossio will describe the process of creating this work at first with Anne LeBaron, and later when Zoe Josephina Moon joins to create the visuals. The performance will take place from 3:00 - 3:50 in the School of Music, Roy O. Disney Concert Hall (ROD). All are welcome!
Rocío Díaz de Cossío is a cellist and improviser. They are dedicated to exploring the sonic possibilities of their instrument, implementing tape and live electronics often based on field recordings.
